Tucson Infusion Nurses Society

Dear Professional Colleagues

Posted almost 3 years ago by Katie Howard

This is to keep you up-to-date on a local option for nurses in Tucson and surrounding areas in Arizona. This includes Specialty Infusion RN's, Oncology RN's, Home Health RN's, Hospital based Nurses, Hospice, Long-Term Rehabilitation and SNF Geriatric RN's, to participate monthly with your professional peers for the purpose of educating yourself on the latest clinical topics that impact "Infusion Nursing".

In addition to our monthly Chapter Meetings held in Tucson at various sites, we have speakers and vendors from industry and academia alike, that highlight clinical topics such as Infection Prevention, New Drugs on the market, IV Dressings, Catheters, Skin Injury, to name a few. Often these are presented by Physicians and well known Nursing Specialty Speakers who are subject matter experts in their areas and offer us their knowledge in clinical practice. Our 2nd Annual Clinical Symposium takes place in October and provides a full day of various topics for an investment in you and your chosen profession.

We encourage your participation. Our focus is Education and we do offer periodic CEU's Continuing Education Units useful for re-certification and licensing annually. At this time we are looking to increase our membership by about 10-12 members. Our organization is part of the National Infusion Nursing Society, is non-profit, we are recognized as an official arm of the INS to bring knowledge and sharing of best healthcare practices to Tucson. You may like to review the INS National Website for all the national happenings as well and look into membership...
